During a recent translocation of tui on Chatham Island, Mike Bell built a large temporay aivary in a very short time using woven netting of the type used to keep birds off grapes. Mike placed poles at the four corners of his aivary and then pulled the netting over the poles and over the trees within. The bottom edges were held down with posts rolled into the netting and the door was a flap at one end.
The tui were in the aivary for a week, during which there was some pretty rough weather. There was no damage to the netting or with the birds inadvertantly flying into the netting - in fact they would hang upside down from the netting to grab grapes thrown on top of the aivary.
On release day one end of the aivary was opened up, but after the birds showed reluctance to leave the whole of the netting was pulled back in just a few minutes.
I'd recommend this method to quickly and easily create temporary aivaries that require little site preparation.
