The Hamilton Halo Project, a biodiversity initiative to bring tui back in to Hamilton City, is now on Facebook and Twitter. In previous years very few tui were sighted in the city, but after a 3 year intensive rat control programme, there has been over 300 tui sightings in Hamilton since July 09! To gain support for the project a social networking campaign was started with over 160 fans on Facebook, and a growing number on Twitter. As wildlife management minded people, we ask that you join Halo supporters too! See
