Mystery block of 'cheese'....
« on: September 21, 2008, 12:16:39 PM »
Hi All,

the story in the Dom Post this morning was originally about a 'mystery block of cheese' http://www.stuff.co.nz/4700641a23918.html ;D (!) that had washed up on Wellington's South Coast, with the hilarious quote that 'no cheese boats had passed Wellington recently'. However, it appears that the reporter has done a bit more homework, and filed this story

http://www.stuff.co.nz/4700787a11.html

It's still not clear what the object is, but DOC staff had a 'mystery' object wash up at Himatangi Beach last week, which it appears is a rotten chunk of sperm whale - could the two Unidentified Smelly Objects be related!?  ;)

Cheers,
Nic
